Mr. Henry Lee Cameron passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born March 8, 1933, in Union Springs, Alabama to the late Eddie Lee and Minnie Guice Cameron.
At an early age, Henry was baptized and united with Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bruceville Community, Union Springs Alabama. There he attended Pump School. Henry later moved to Saginaw, Michigan, after which he moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he lived until his death.
It was in Cleveland where he reunited with his childhood sweetheart, the late Hattie Rainer. They were married on January 6, 1968. As a family they attended Holy Trinity Baptist Church.
To celebrate his life and cherish his memories, he leaves one daughter, Anniece Harris, and one son, Mac (Janice) Rainer both of Cleveland Ohio; four sisters, Dorothy (Moses C.) Carter of Montgomery Alabama, Emma Watkins of Atlanta Georgia, Olavene Johnson, and Eva Poindexter of Saginaw Michigan; one brother, Robert Simmons of Mobile Alabama; two grandsons: Keenan Rainer of Beckley, West Virginia and Clayton Brown of Cleveland Ohio. Five granddaughters: Kamille Rainer of Ann Arbor Michigan, Kahlia Rainer of Aviano Italy, Caylin Brown, De'Nisesa Holden and Destiny Wallace, all of Cleveland Ohio. One brother-in-law, Melvin Sweeney. He also leaves to cherish a very special cousin; Mattie Bradford, special niece; Priscilla Rainer and a very dear friend and caregiver, James Carthan.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings: Johnnie May Cameron, Ezekiel Cameron, Edlenton Cameron, Roosevelt Cameron, Ruby Weems and Minnie Ree Davis.
