She is loved by many Helen Jane Charlton was born on November 18, 1936, to the late Grace Washington and Harold Stone in Washington, PA. She went home with the Lord on January 9, 2017. At an early age Helen accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She attended Cleveland public schools graduating from Glenville High In 1956. She married her love Oscar Crenshaw, and welcomed a beautiful daughter Valerie Crenshaw. Helen attended Cuyahoga Community College obtaining her Bachelors of Arts degree graduating on the Dean's List. Helen went on to attend John Carroll University majoring in Social Services, hoping to change lives of her community. After graduating from John Carroll she became a Social Worker. Helen was presented with a certificate from the Ohio House Of Representatives; she served in the highest position of the Cuyahoga Central Committee. Helen enjoyed traveling, playing cards, grilling, going shopping, talking to her friends, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughter Valerie; 4 grandchildren, Chante (Lakeya Barbee) of Lorain, Ohio, Heather, Qiana, Charlene and Arlene; sister-in-law, Edna Crenshaw; 3 great-grandchildren, Cedreya, Faith and Nathaniel and 10 intermediate Great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of friends and coworkers.
