GWENDOLYN WATSON nee Fears, 91; Passed Apr. 21, 2016. Will be missed by her baby brother W. Rogers Fears and a host of other family and friends. Services THURSDAY APR. 28th; Wake 12:30 PM, Funeral 1:00 PM at Watson's Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Ave. Public Viewing Wednesday from 9 AM to 7 PM; Interment at Lake View Cemetery. Gwendolyn Fears was born November 18, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles Barnett Fears Sr. and Mary Ann (Trimble). Gwendolyn was the fourth of nine children born to this union were: Carolyn (deceased) Evelyn, (deceased) Charles Jr., Betty (deceased), Jeanine (deceased), Douglas (deceased) Allegra, and Wayman Roger. Gwen joined and was baptized at St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church by the late Rev. A.L. Fuller. She was very active in the church and served on the usher board for many years as well as participating in church conferences, spiritual sharing others and church community service programs. Gwendolyn attended Dike Elementary, Kennard Jr. High and graduated from Central Sr. High School in June 1943, and attended Western Reserve University. On, November 24, 1946 Gwendolyn married James Edward Watson (deceased) at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church on East 40th and Central. They celebrated their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary November 29, 1996. Gwendolyn worked for Bowman Products until she retired. She went on to work as a real estate agent and notary public. Her hobby was vacationing and she loved to travel.
