Gwendolyn Denise Mayfield-Dudley "Neicy", was the daughter of Paul F. Mayfield and Brenda Thomas Mayfield. She was born August 30, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her wings on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the Cleveland Clinic. Neicy graduated from John F. Kennedy High School (Cleveland). She then later attended Bowling Green University where she majored in Criminal Justice and also American Public University where she received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Sports Management. Neicy married Austin Dudley and from this union, they had two children, Paul (deceased) and Tamika Dudley. Later in life Neicy adopted Vera Perkins. Neicy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at The Lutheran Church of the Good Sheppard, where her mother and sister still attend. Neicy and Tamika moved to Atlanta, GA in 2007, where she volunteered and worked at Canby Lane Elementary School in DeKalb County, where she served on the PTA board. Neicy also worked at different colleges and non-profit organizations as a counselor, tutor, and financial aid coordinator. She had a passion for event planning. When she relocated back to Cleveland, OH she was very involved in the community where she was able to display her passion for event planning while working on many campaigns throughout the city. Neicy was an overall down to earth, easy going person and a true caregiver. She wouldn't hesitate to help anyone in need. She loved spending her free time with the family and her grandkids. Neicy was preceded in death by her father Paul F. Mayfield and her son Paul Dudley. Gwendolyn Denise Mayfield-Dudley "Neicy", is survived by her daughters, Tamika Dudley (GA) and Vera Perkins (OH) (adopted); mother, Brenda Thomas Mayfield (OH); three sisters, Deborah Mayfield (John) TX, Sylvia Mayfield Powell (OH), and Bernadette Mayfield (OH); two brothers Paul Frank Mayfield and Kevin Mayfield (OH); three grandchildren, Jayaun Warren (OH), Christopher Griffin (OH) and Gabrielle Davidson (GA); two nieces, Tiffany Gibson (Dwight) (GA) and Sydney Floyd (TX); two nephews Antonio Tucker (LaTae) (PA) and Christopher Floyd (TX). Seven great-nephews and three great-nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
