Gwendolyn M. Beverly

May 7, 1958 — March 15, 2021

Gwendolyn "Gwen" M. Beverly, 62, of Cleveland, Ohio; born to Mattie Smith, was called home by God on March 15, 2021.

Gwen was an amazing cook and absolutely loved dancing!

A "Boy Mom", spoiled by her loving sons, she was entirely devoted to and loved her family. This love of family overflowed to her beloved grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as "Mama G."

Gwen worked as a Nurse in the Mental Health Department at the North Coast Behavioral Health Center for 21 years.

While serving as a nurse she received multiple recognitions as being the "Best Health Care Worker of the Year".

Her hard work, dedication and service to the Mental Health community was insurmountable and was a testament to her retirement in 2019.

Gwen was a great person, awesome mother, and wonderful friend. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed.

As we prepare our hearts to mourn our loss we also celebrate the life well lived and honor her departure.

Left to cherish her memory is her lifetime partner of 34 years, Thomas Bunton; who supported her through sickness and in health, raising two sons of their own and children who God saw fit to place under their loving care.

To meet her in the clouds are her brothers, Darryl and Jeffery Smith; and to live her legacy, mother, Mattie Smith; son's Robert ( Tunisia ), Ryan Beverly; sister, Inez Smith; brothers, Richard, Earnie, and Robert; granddaughters, China, Jada and Asia; 1 great granddaughter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gwendolyn will be truly missed by all and loved dearly.
