Gloria B. Wood

July 17, 1930 — August 2, 2018

Gloria B. Wood entered this world on July 17, 1930, in Rome, Georgia, the only child of Albert James Mckeever and Dora Roland Mckeever. Gloria moved to Cleveland at an early age and was educated both in Cleveland parochial and Cleveland public schools. She attended Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament and graduated from Central High School. Gloria has been a member of St. Aloysius Church for many years and attended faithfully until she took ill. Gloria was also a member of Sojourner Truth Temple #881 of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World Organization. As a Lifetime Member, Gloria was very active in her temple where she served in many offices. Gloria married Nathaniel E. Morrison Sr. and from this union was born seven (7) children. Her children were her greatest joy. Gloria was a stay at home mom until she ventured out into the working world and went to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. When she received her license her first job was at Cleveland Psychiatric Institute. Thereafter, she worked for many years at St. Vincent Charity Hospital. The remainder of her career prior to retirement was spent working with geriatric patients at The Keithly House. Gloria liked to play cards, bowl and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Gloria transitioned to her eternal home on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Dora Mckeever; her son, Nathaniel E. Morrison Jr. and her daughter, Gaynelle Eppinger. Gloria leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her children, Dora Robertson, Charlotte Brooks (David), Gloria Jones-Reynolds, Roy L. Morrison (Everlenia) and Ruth Hart-Talbert (Norman); 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
