Gloria Bennett

Gloria Bennett was born January 21, 1925 in Ironton, Ohio to Dolly and Ernest Bickley. Gloria departed this life after a brief illness on February 6, 2015. Gloria had been a two year patient at the Berea Care Center. Gloria completed her education in the Cleveland Public School System and began her working career at the Carnegie Hotel as an elevator operator. Gloria met her late husband Thelman Nick Bennett and had a loving marriage for fifty-seven years. Gloria managed a number of family businesses with her husband, Bennett's Dry Cleaners, Bennett's Corner Beverage store and Bennett Realty. Gloria and Nick loved to travel. Gloria also loved fashion and shopped all over the country. Gloria is survived by her son, Bruce Bennett; grandson, Darryle Bennett and step daughter, Patricia Bennett; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other family members and friends. Interment in Cleveland Memorial Gardens.
