Franklin D. Rodgers Public Viewing 9AM to 7PM on Friday, June 2nd and FUNERAL SERVICES to begin 10AM on Saturday, June 3rd at Watson's Funeral Home 10913 Superior Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Franklin D. Rodgers, was born on May 3, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Clarence Nash and Bertha Beck. He was the oldest child of 4, 1 brother, David Beck (who proceeded him in death) and 2 sisters, Gail Stevens and Bertha Stover. Franklin accepted Christ at an early age and attended New Bethel Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. He later attended The Starlight Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member until his passing. Franklin attended and graduated from Thomas Edison High school. Immediately following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Military and served in the Army. After his honorable discharge, he became an Operating Room technician and worked at The Cleveland Clinic where he later retired. He enjoyed grilling, listening to music, watching Westerns, and was an avid sports fan. Frank is survived by the love of his life, Gwendolyn Baker. 2 sons Darrell Nash and Clarence Nash, III. 1 Daughter, Patricia McDowell Nash. 4 stepsons- Robert Baker, Anthony (Ann) Baker, Darrian (NiQuita) Baker, Sr., and Noke Baker. 2 Stepdaughters- Robi (Greg) Brooks, and Amia Baker. 1 Aunt Beatrice Haynes, 1 niece Andretta Stevens. He was affectionately known as "Pa-Pa" to his 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
