Faithful, Faithful, Faithful! This world describes Evelyn Happy Ross, born April 12, 1924 and departed this life on November 26, 2013. She was raised by her grandmother of whom she spoke fondly of. She joined East Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on April 11, 1976 and was baptized on July 25, 1976. Evelyn joined Usher Board #1 in 1977 where she served faithfully until failing health in August, 2013 made it impossible for her to serve. She was a member of the Food Committee for both Vacation Bible School and the Bereavement Ministry, Group #7, Life Line, the Julia/Rosanna Missionary Circle, the Group Leaders Council, and the Esther Bible Class of Sunday Church School. She was a dependable and reliable worker, traits which she displayed in all areas of her life. She will be lovingly remembered for her dedication and commitment of service to the various auxiliaries at East Mount Zion Baptist Church. Evelyn exemplified and will always be remembered for the example she displayed as a willing and loving servant to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a living example of His hands and feet. She had a servants heart and was known for putting others first. She will be dearly missed by her family, dear friend and neighbor of fifteen years Rose Marie Robinson, her dear life-long friend Bernice Lewis, and her East Mount Zion family.
