Elinor Thomas Parish

Elinor Thomas Parish, age 89, Cedarburg WI, formally Sun City Center, FL, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018, at the Harrison Home Hospice. Born November 20, 1928, Elinor was the eldest of 10 siblings born to John and Ruth Thomas. Elinor is survived by her son Mark (Marilyn) Parish, Granddaughter Marie (Spenser) Gull and grandson Michael Parish. Elinor is further survived by sisters Carol, Anne and brother Larry. Elinor was preceded in death by her husband Paul and daughter Kathleen (Don) Lazor. Elinor worked for the State of Ohio Mental Health agency and RTA for twenty years before returning to college to earn her Law degree from Cleveland State University. She worked for the UAW providing legal assistance for twelve years and then provided volunteer legal support to the elderly for fifteen more years, retiring at age 87. Elinor was an Audubon Society Master Bird Watcher and enjoyed bird watching with Kathleen and Don throughout Ohio. She was also a master bridge player and avid traveler. The Family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Lasata Community Home, Harrison House and Horizon Hospice for their excellent care and compassion over the last year.
