Edward Johnson Jr. was born on February 12,1938 in Fairfax Alabama to his mother Hattie Sterling and his father Edward Johnson Sr. He has one sister, Mary Sterling.
Edward (Fish) attended schools in Fairfax Alabama. He grew up in the church and sang in the choir where he developed his love for music. In 1956 he moved to Cleveland to live with his aunt Mary Burton. He got a job at working for Stouffers hotel where he worked as a dishwasher. In 1958 he met Dorothy Scott. To that union they had four children.
In 1970 he formed a band called the Astrological Forecast. They played for almost a decade. In 1974 he became a transportation driver working for a company called CTS which is now known as the RTA. He worked there for twenty-six years. He retired in 2000. In 1981 he met Barbara Nunery to whom he shared union with for forty-one years until his passing.
Edward was affectionately known by many names like Fish, Fast Eddie and junior. He loved to sing, play cards, and spend time with his family. He passed away on May 27,2023.
He proceeds in death his mom Hattie Sterling, his dad Edward Johnson Sr. and his son Kenneth Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his spouse Barbara Nunery, his sons James Johnson and Richard Johnson. His daughters Valerie Johnson and Denise Nunery. His sister Mary Sterling, his grandchildren Reginald Johnson, DeVonte Nunery, Philip Johnson, Antonio Johnson and LaShanda Johnson. Seventeen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
