Eddie Roy Reid

Eddie Roy Reid was born August 22, 1932, to George and Viola Reid in Cara, Georgia. He was also known as Big Eddie. He had 2 sisters Lula Mae Ingram and Ella Mae (both deceased).

He went to school in Georgia and enjoyed playing basketball for his high school. In the early so's, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, with his sister Lula Ingram. He worked as a city sanitation engineer and laundromat manager from 89th Buckeye to 55th in Woodland.

Eddie Roy Reid married Marie Davis (deceased). He leaves to cherish his memory: 3 boys (David, Allen, Cordell), 1 step-son (Willie Reid), 1 daughter (Diane Reid), 1 step-daughter (Annie Reid), 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

Blessed by God to go home after 88 years upon this earth.
