Earline Cook was born on January 28, 1930, in Port Gibson Mississippi to the late Riley and Hattie Stampley. Earline was the only child born of this union. In September 1952, Earline was united in holy matrimony to James S. Cook who proceeded her in death. She and James went on to raise six children, James Jr., Eugene (deceased), Antoinette (deceased), Daniel Sr., Jamal, Lani and four grandchildren Anthony, Jamie, Dan Jr. (deceased) and Sam. Earline's first love was always family, music and education. For many years, she danced at the Karamu Theater and enjoyed attending the orchestra and opera. Earline graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Art. She went on to become a social worker and elementary School teacher. She retired from St. Henry's school after 20 years of service. Earline will be remembered by all of her family and the many students lives that she has touched over the years. She will always be known for her no-nonsense attitude; not only at home but also in the classroom. Earline's legacy will continue through her children, and grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her sons James Jr (Tami), Daniel, Jamal (Jessica), daughter Lani (Lorn); 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
