Denize A. Kamara was born December 13, 1957 to the late Robert and Cynthia Allen. Denize was raised in Portsmouth, Virginia along with her brother's Bobby, Willie, and Kenny. In 1976 Denize was married to Alimammy Kamara, a Sierra Leone native who was studying from abroad to complete his college education. The two had 5 children, Mohammed, Issa, Rashid, Ibrahim and Haja Marie Kamara. Denize was a well-loved mother, wife and member of her church.
She went to Job Corp. to study nursing. She was always a hard worker. She was manager of Orange Julius. She worked two jobs to help support her family. She worked and Miracle Ear and Big Lots. She was also a faithful member of her church St Jude C.O.G.I.C. As her health started to decline she was still a faithful member of her church, and awesome mom, grandmother, and friend.
Denize loved God. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, spending time with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed music. She loved to clean on Saturday morning with her favorite gospel, jazz, and pop music. As her health declined more she placed in a nursing home until her death. She is preceded in death by her parents (Robert and Cynthia), brother (Willie), son (Issa).
Denize is survived by her brother Bobby and Kenny, children Sadika(Alieu Bundu), Mohammed (Antaria), Rashid (Tela), Ibrahim, and Haja Marie; 23 grandkids, 3 great grandkids. And a host of Sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. Husband James Davis and step-daughter Shar'na.
