Deborah Ann Mitchell was born February 18, 1960 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Mary Mitchell. The oldest of four Loren Mitchell, Toilyne Hardnick, and Tamanya Mitchell.
Deborah moved to Cleveland , Ohio in 1966, where she attended Cleveland public schools. In 1980 she gave birth to her only child Devon Mitchell who she loved dearly. She would later meet, the love of her life Walter (Maine) Hazzard. They were together for 25 years until his passing in 2015.
Deborah was a dedicated homemaker, solely putting her focus into spending time with her family, and the people she loved .She had many hobbies. She loved to cook, play dominoes, spades and the lottery. Moving to Cleveland didn't stop her from being a Pittsburgh Steelers fan . You could count on her to help anyone in need which is why she was known to many as "Mama Deb" . Deborah will definitely be
remembered for her Feisty, and bold personality . To know her was to love her, and she will be truly missed.
Deborah was preceded in death by Parents Edward and Mary Mitchell, Her Late Husband Walter (Maine) Hazzard , and her Stepson Darnell Byrd.
Deborah leaves behind to cherish, and rejoice in her memory her son, Devon, three stepsons, Duon, Darnell (deceased), and Darius; siblings, Loren Mitchell, Toilyne Hardnick (Keith), Tamanya Mitchell; sister-in-law, Rebecca Key; grandchildren Dae'shawn, Franklin , Devon and Devora; great grandson, Dae'shawn Jr and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
