Deborah Denise Bell was born September 23, 1955 to her late father Leo Bell and Etta Mae Conner (Blue) in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the eldest of five siblings. Deborah attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from John Hay High School. Deborah went on to continue her education at the University of Toledo where she received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 1980. Deborah worked as probation officer and a certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed helping others and being an advocate for the community. As her life journeyed on, Deborah started her family and had two loving daughters, Kanika and Debony Bohles, whom reside in Atlanta Georgia. Her daughters continue her legacy in helping people by touching their lives through nursing and pursing an education in criminal justice. Deborah Bell was affectionately known as "Shay". She was a devoted advocate and missionary for her community. She touched many souls and healed many hearts while visiting food banks, shelters, and outreach centers. Deborah enjoyed being a supportive and protective mother. Her witty sense of humor was infectious and put a smile on everyone's face. Deborah was incredibly selfless and generous and never met a stranger, exhibiting a heart full of love. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved our beloved "Shay".
