David (Alvester) Perkins Sr. Born Dec 6 1930 in Colquitt, Georgia. Son of the late Nangie Lee Carr and Henry Perkins. David was the eldest child of 14 brothers and sisters and the first of 4 sets of twins.
David did not go far with his education but what he didn't learn in school he did in life experiences. David join a traveling circus and travel around the country. Returning home briefly as a young adult before moving out on him own. David was married 4 times and had 4 children and 5 step children. First wife Ruby Pearl had 2 children Raymond and Mary Ann. David's second wive was the late Emma Jean they had a daughter Felicia. The third marriage was to Vicki to them was born a son David Burns Perkins jr and 2 stepchildren Tim and Joey. Last but not least his forth wive the late Priscilla and there was 3 stepchildren from this marriage Angel, Tim and Priscilla Jeanelle.
David's love for cooking led him to life as a chef/cook first for Brown Derby then he retired from Corky and Lenny's. David loved to watch old westerns, listen to church music, play pool and garden. He also was passionate about his family, going out of he way to raise and adopt his grandson David Romell Perkins III. David departed this life at the age of 91, Thursday July 28 comfortably at home.
Proceeding him in death His mother Nangie and father Henry,twin brother Jonathan( Joe), brothers Willie,Norman,Gurley, A.C., Alexander, Elexzander, Rufus, James, Joseph, Henry and sisters Josephine, Alice, Essie, Jeanette and Annie. His second wive Emma and forth wive Priscilla.
David leaves to charish him 4 children Raymond, Mary Ann, Felicia and David B, 5 stepchildren Tim, Joey, Angel, Tim and Pj. Grandson David Romell, granddaughters Jasmine and Raegan, great grandson David (Chunky) and his youngest grandson that has yet to grace the world with his presents. 3 brothers Jethro, Lennon(Lamar), James Eugene and 3 sisters Betty (Robert), Collie and Virginia (Freddie) and a host of nieces,nephews,cousins and friends
