Daniel Dowd

Daniel Alexander Dowd, affectionately called "Delo," of Cleveland, Ohio, entered his Heavenly home on Saturday, March 8, 2025, with his loving wife, Ashley, by his side. Daniel was born on May 7, 1983, to Corliss Scott and Charles Dowd.

Daniel confessed his love for Christ at a young age in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was born and raised, and graduated from Glenville High School. He took pride in his work as a contractor, ensuring quality in every project he oversaw. When his health began to decline, he never allowed it to hinder his outlook, even during challenging times. Daniel found great comfort in spending time with family and friends.

Daniel's love for family was unwavering, and his legacy of love will forever live on through his sons, Daniel, Dontae, Dai'yon, Dai'zi, Di'zier, and Dionysus; and daughters, Danori, Harmonie, Alexia, and Alexandria. In his free time, Delo enjoyed traveling; listening to music; and playing a good game of spades or dominoes with his Parkwood brothers. Daniel and his family recently settled in Florida. The countless memories shared will live on forever.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dowd; grandmother, Vida Dowd; grandfather, Clarence L. Ross; brother, Dionysus Dowd; father-in-law, Robert Jones; grandfather-in-law, James Foster; and grandmother-in-law, Beatrice Foster.

Daniel leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to his beloved wife, Ashley; mother, Corliss Scott (Nate); grandmother, Berniece Ross; siblings, Phethes Dowd, Terrance William, Anita Evans and Kisha Evans; nieces, Tanaisha Gary and Attalah Abudulhaqq; great nephew, Tylan Stallings; mother-in-law, Aletha Jones; brother-in-law, Tyrone McClendon; and Ervin Young who was special in his life, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
