Pastor Dan Pete Wilson was born February 3, 1935, to the late Johnny and Onna Wilson in Akron, Alabama. He attended the Hale County schools in Alabama. He served his Country in the Army for 2 years and received an Honorable Discharge. Pastor Wilson relocated to Detroit, Michigan where he sung with other quartets, then he relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. He always had a love for Christ and he was Saved and Baptized at an early age. Pastor Wilson worked for many years as a Teah Welders at Federal Metals. Pastor Wilson received his calling to Preach the Gospel and he gladly accepted. But his first love was singing. Pastor Wilson created a group called The Wilson Singers, which consisted of him, his sons and a nephew. They sang and gave God Praises all over the city of Cleveland. They were frequent quests at the Willing Workers M.B.C.
Pastor Wilson joined the Willing Workers M.B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Charlie Benford who took him under his wings. During his time there he meet and married Rose George on April 6, 1979, a year that held other life events as well. In 1979 he was under the leadership of Rev. Charlie Benford, nd was ordained by the late Rev. Edward Smalls. In October of 1979 he was called and installed as the Pastor of Christian United Baptist church where he served as Pastor for 42 years.
Pastor Wilson loved singing, preaching, fishing and hunting. He sung with The Golden Echoes, The Wilson Singers and he organized The Christian United Male Chorus. He was one of the Pastors of The Faithful Christian Women of All ages. Four of his siblings preceded him in death, Minnie Earl Wilson, Edith Maddox, Mytrle Liles and Johnny Wilson Jr; as well as one son, Dan Wilson. Pastor Wilson heard his Master calling him saying "Well done thy good and faithful servant, it's time for you to come home. He answered that call Saturday, September 25, 2021 when he transition from earth to Glory.
Pastor Wilson's Memories will be cherished by his loving wife of 42 years 1st Lady Rose Wilson; his children, Lolita Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Darryl Glen Wilson, Danielle Wilson, Daniel George, Derrick George all of Cleveland, Ohio and Dale Williams of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Debra Skinner (Detroit), and Sara Lipson (Donald Connecticut, Jackie (Akron, Ohio), Two brothers, John Wilson (Akron, Ohio), Kochese Wilson(California) Leonard Wilson, and one nephew Greg Wilson whom he considered as his son.
