Daisy Moore

May 10, 1923 — November 18, 2019

On May 10, 1923, in Jonesville, NC, John and Ila Martin were blessed with the arrival of Daisy. She was one of the eldest of 12 children. At a young age, Daisy accepted Christ as her personal Savior while living in Yakin, NC. At the age of 5, after the passing of her father, Daisy's mother moved she, and her siblings to Beckley, WV. In 1953, Daisy came to Cleveland with Muriel Stein for whom she did domestic work. Daisy later went on to work for the owner of I.J. Fox, then later served as an Environmental Specialist for Huntington Bank. Daisy was a longtime, and faithful member of Second Ebenezer Baptist Church, until her health made her unable to attend. She was a member of the Mother's board for many years. Daisy LOVED the Lord and loved hearing and singing her favorite song, "This Little Light of Mine". Daisy was kind-hearted, generous, and always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed planting flowers in her front yard, and loved sitting on the porch in the summer. And everyone that knew her knew that she also loved her dogs Trixie, and J.J. She was well respected and on her street, by her neighbors, and by those who knew and loved her, she was affectionately known as "Mama Daisy". Daisy was blessed with only one child that unfortunately passed after birth. Daisy life will go on in the cherished memories of her loved ones and will forever be remembered by her loving Goddaughter, Tracey Kinton, dear friend Pam Scott, as well as, a host of friends who were blessed by her loving yet stern, honest, and spirited personality, and gracious attitude towards life. Mama Daisy, you will be truly missed. Until we meet again.........
