Public Viewing will be Thursday, November 20 from 9am to 7pm Mrs. Cynthia James-Wheeler lovingly known as "Cent" the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Eddie L. and Cora L. Oliver born to this union on February 10, 1961 in Ben Hill, County Fitzgerald, Georgia she accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized in 1971 at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Rochelle, Georgia. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from East High School with straight A's and was an Honor Roll Student in 1979. Known among her classmates as very creative with a sunny disposition and talented, Cynthia often bragged about the talent shows that her and her cousin Patricia Gaston, "sang and dance" would win. Cynthia believed in education and loved to write poetry which she won awards for. She held several jobs throughout her life, such as Executive Secretary, Caterer, Teacher Assistant, Bank Administrator and Laborer at Blue Coral, LLC as a line leader until she became ill in 1998. Cynthia joined in Holy Matrimony to Dennis G. Wheeler III on May 19, 2002 when they began raising their three children together as a family. Amongst her many friends and family, we will miss most of all her fun and energetic spirit! She loved people, cooking and family gatherings of all sorts. She was very strong willed, loving, compassionate and engaging. When you left her presence you went away feeling like she really heard you, she really cared, and you were special to her. Cynthia adored her children and granddaughters which she expressed with the abundance of family pictures she kept. Cynthia had a special relationship with each of her siblings reminding them daily that she was the "Big Sister". Her sense of humor, her infectious smile and her love of life and family is what really defined her. Cynthia became ill in February 2014; she had a strong spirit and fought her illness until she departed this life on November 13, 2014. Left to cherish her memory is Dennis G. Wheeler III; two daughters, Latasha M. Oliver and Wendi L. Brown; one devoted son, Wendell T.
