Cornelia Wade (Frances) began her earthly journey on February 15, 1949. She was born to Cornelia and the late Clarence Jones Norris, Sr. in Oswald, West Virginia. She was the second eldest of ten children. She was a very caring, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. A graduate of John Adams High School, Frances furthered her education at Cuyahoga Community College, receiving an Associate Degree in Nursing. Shortly after graduation, Frances accepted a position as a Lab Technician for the Red Cross for a number of years. Frances confessed Christ at an early age and became a very faithful member of Sharon Pentecostal Church of God, where she loved to sing in the choir and was a member of the Usher Board. Frances was united in holy matrimony to Sidney Eugene Wade. God graced them with nine children, five sons and four daughters. Frances loved helping others and volunteered at the Cleveland Food Bank, the City Mission and Wounded Veterans Association. Children were drawn to her meek and gentle spirit. Frances spent a lot of her time visiting children in need at the Metzenbaum Center. She was often lovingly called "Fran with the Van". Frances departed this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Wade. She leaves to cherish her memories; five sons, William Norris, Michael, Christopher, David and Demetrius Wade; four daughters, Ella and Frances Norris, Paula Ferguson and Dorothy Starr. Twenty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren; her mother, Cornelia Norris; her father, Clarence Jones Norris, Sr. (deceased) ; nine siblings, Clarence (deceased)(Rosemary), Mary Simmons (James), Linda Watkins (Edward, deceased), Phillip (Hattie, deceased), John (Sharon), Thomas (Twyla), Kenneth (Damita), Timothy (Letha), and Joseph (deceased) (Starlene); and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, a special friend, Lillie Mae McKinney and a host of other relatives and friends. SERVICES ARE ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, WAKE 10:00 AM, FUNERAL 10:30 AM at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 8712 Quincy Avenue. Public viewing on Monday, August 10th at Watson's Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Avenue. Interment in Cleveland Memorial Gardens.
