Christine Jeter, 64; passed away Tuesday, December 11th; Public Viewing from 9 AM to 7 PM on Friday, December 21st at Watson's Funeral Home 10913 Superior Ave. Cle 44106 Christine Jeter was born on August 31, 1954 in Mount Vernon, New York. She was born to the union of Mary D. Long and Charles James Jeter. She was also blessed to be lovingly raised by Alice Ford And James Ford. Christine was raised in Cleveland, Ohio in which she attended the Cleveland Metropolitan School system. She was also self-educated in the history of African Americans. Christine was a proud member of the Black Nationalist movement. Christine participated in many peaceful marches and sit-ins. She continued to be a member up until her death. Christine was a member of Cory Methodist church. You could also find Christine gardening in her yard on any given summer day or even reading a good horror book. There was nothing she loved more than her 3 biological children, the children she helped raise, and her grandchildren. Christine passed on December 11, 2018 after putting up a long fight. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles James Jeter; parents who raised her, James Ford and Alice Ford; her loving cousin and best friend, Jacqueline R. Long and her sister of the heart, Ivory Hutchins. Christine leaves to mourn, her mother, Mary Jeter; two loving sisters, Sherry Frazier and Judy Melvin; one brother, Michael Jeter; her children, Armina Jeter, Aaron Jeter and Yoson Porter; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as many, aunts, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and lifelong friends.
