Mrs. Charlie Mae Dear was born on March 23, 1925 in Belzoni, Mississippi, to Willie Wilson & Emma Wilson. She was educated in the Jackson Public Schools, and was a memeber of Star Bethel Baptist Church For 10 years.

Charlie Mae married Reuben Dear in 1942, and from their union one child was born, Adeal Turnage.

Mrs. Dear worked as a laborer at Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals for many years. She was very active in the church, and had a zest for living. She was very special to her family. She was always present for family functions.

Charlie Mae Dear passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Wilson; father, Willie Wilson; husband, Reuben Dear; siblings, Willie Wilson Jr,. Wesley Burks , Devoious McDade, and Annie Mae Davis;

Mrs Dear leaves to cherish one Daughter Adeal Turnage; eight grandchildren, Rosalind Turnage, Robert Turnage, Denise Turnage, James Phillips, Eric Steele, Adeal Nicole Turnage, Mary Nichols, and Fred Nichols; 11 great grandchildren, Corriana Mackey, Javontae Phillips, Corey Mackey, Jamyah Phillips, Kamillie Turnage ,Jaylin Phillips, Jamar Phillips, Jaiden Phillips, Jeneyne Phillips, Jamie Phillips, and Kayden Lovett; and one great-great grandchild, Amyah Phillips.
