Charles Clarence Greene, Sr.

Charles Clarence Greene, Sr. was born to William and Rose Greene (who preceded him in death) in Cleveland, Ohio on April 7, 1934. Charles was the last born of 3 boys: Edmund and Lawrence (both of whom preceded him in death.)

Charles was educated in the Cleveland Public school system attending Kennard Junior High and the Old East Tech High School. Following his education, Charles joined the Army and served in the Korean War. He served for about 3 years. Once Charles left the Military, he went and joined the workforce, working for Weathertite company. Around 1961 while working at Weathertite, Charles met Delores Martin. On March 20th, 1964, Charles and Delores were married. To this union, 2 children were born: Kelly Diana (who preceded him in death), and Charles Jr.

Charles was not very religious, and did not attend church, but accepted and recognized Jesus Christ as his savior and understood that there is a God and that "God Loves You."

Charles continued to work and worked for the Norandex company (formerly weathertite) until he retired in the late 1990's. Even in the midst of all the difficulties of life, Charles was described as being a "great provider" for his family. During his free time, Charles loved spending time with family, friends, and playing solitaire. He was described by his wife Delores as being a "good man in his own way." He will dearly be missed.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Delores; One Son: Charles "Chuck" Jr; two daughters: Kelly (RIP), Charnika; One step-son: Kevin; 7 Grandchildren: Tyesha, Adam (Caitlyn), Corey, Chantinia, Melissa, Donique, Daylon; 18 Great-grandchildren: Charles "CJ", Tyshawn, Devin, Terrell, Taliyah, Tyshae, Adriyanna, Daylin Moore, Arianna, Amela, London , Adam Jr. "AJ", Princess, Kai, Avery, Cory "CJ", Promise, Ezera; 4 nieces: Constance, Helen, Wanda, LaTanya (RIP); 2 Nephews: Edmund, Charles; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.
