Carroll Eungard

d. June 13, 2011

Carroll Blanche Eungard (nee walker) was born December 2, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to the loving union of Leroy Sr. and Bernice Walker (nee Vaughn). She was the second of three children. Carroll was raised by her great aunt Rosie Jackson. Carroll lived the majority of her life in Cleveland, Ohio. Most recently she lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She returned home to Cleveland in the fall of 2010. Carroll was educated in the Cleveland public school district. She obtained a G.E.D. then went onto DRET College in 1988 where she studied and obtained a degree in Dental Assisting. Having lived as a youth next door to Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, Carroll found her purpose in life, which was to serve our god. She accepted Christ at a young age and later in her teenage years she was known for her melodious voice and led the church choir in many songs as a soloist. In 2011, Carroll became a member of New Direction Church of God in Christ where she gave her life to Christ once again. She touched the hearts of many people with her God given talent when singing in various gospel groups throughout Cleveland, Ohio such as the Mighty Soul Superiors, Christian Travelers, Supreme Angels and Belle and the Gospel Pearls. She was married 3 times. Her first marriage was to Marvin Cogdell, from that union two children were born, Hyeishia and Comeche Cogdell. Her second marriage was to Emmanuel Obi Maduka; from that union Ijeoma Maduka was born. After divorcing Emmanuel she met William Clark and from that union Chisa Clark was born. In 2000 she united with Charles Eungard who she would remain married to until her passing in 2011. She loved family and devoted many years of her life caring for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other children wherever she went. She so loved keeping in touch with family and friends, planning family reunions and special events. She was very fond of her friends, and sometimes she claimed them as special cousins and family members. Carroll always gave a helping hand to everyone she could even when she didn't have it to give. She was a kind, loving and generous person who knew exactly what to say and when to say it. Carroll leaves to mourn Charles Eungard (husband), her children Hyeishia Cogdell-Armstead (Roy), Comeche Cogdell, Ijeoma Smith, and Chisa Clark; grandchildren Angello and Portia Johnson, Jeffrey Thomas, Aaron Johnson, Cashaney Harris, Zamiya Cogdell, Desiree Smith, Anasia Banks-Bey, Alecia Shihadeh, Kamiko, Na'kizza and Komaje' Cogdell, 1 great-grandson Jermaine Morgan, two brothers Charles and Leroy Walker (Vivian), three stepbrothers Wesley and Michael Nicolson, Kemptra Walker, two step sisters, Stephanie and Shawnotra Merritt, a self adopted sister, Susie Ruffin and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family members and friends.
