Carolyn "Ms.Kitty" Holloman

January 20, 1943 — September 19, 2022

On Sunday, September 19, 2022, "Miss Kitty" Carolyn F. Holloman departed this earth at 5:31 AM to travel to her new heavenly home, she will be so greatly missed by so many.

On January 20, 1943, at 9:35 AM Carolyn F. Holloman was born to William and Lillian Ruth Holloman in the beautiful city of Atlanta Georgia what a beautiful day for such a beautiful angel who would come in touch so many lives in so many ways.

When Miss Kitty was young, her dad went into the military and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as an air pilot fighter of which later he made a career. The family moved to Hartford, Connecticut where Kitty's sister Eula "Laney" was born. Eula preceded Carolyn in death in 2010. The two sisters were very close as they are now once again.

The family moved again this time to New York City where Miss Kitty started school. She spent a year in the seventh grade in Cleveland living with her godmother, Lillian Ware and attended Patrick Henry junior high school. This is where she picked up the trade of sewing and met Leander Williams. Carolyn and Leander had a daughter, Veronica.

Several years later after returning to New York, having her daughter, and continuing her craft of sewing, her great aunt Rose had a son in the military, and he was stationed in Cleveland. Her great aunt decided it would be great for herself and Kitty to move to Cleveland with a now 8-year-old Veronica.

To many who knew Kitty she was a great seamstress for many years. But life changed and changed again with 39 years of sobriety. She helped change and develop a new way of life for many people she never gave up on. As Kitty's health declined, she had to stop sewing clothes but never stopped sowing her way into people's lives.

Carolyn F. Holloman "Miss Kitty" leaves behind one daughter, Veronica; one god-daughter, Barbara Perterson; four grandchildren, Leander, Akim, Vincent, and Nia; 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Desireee, and Deshante; two nephews, Derrick, and Daniel of New York City; 21 great nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. She has touched so many lives in so many ways.
