Bud C. Hester, Jr.

Bud C. Hester, Jr. Better known to his family as simply "Jr." was born on May 22, 1951, in Gay, Georgia to Bud Hester Sr. & Ola Mae Hester. After relocating to Cleveland, Ohio Bud became a big brother to two sisters, Mary and April Hester. Bud attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from John Hay High School. Later, he went on to marry Pamela Hollingsworth and the couple had one son, Jovan Hester. Bud spent a majority of his life in working in sales, with Pitney Bows and countless other companies, he even ventured off into entrepreneurship involving the sale of copy paper. After leaving sales he worked at Trane and Sherwin Williams among others before retiring. Bud was a fan of many sports, especially football, and basketball, he especially loved to play pool. The expression "to know him is to love him" was made just for Bud. He was caring, loving, loyal, dependable and extended a helping hand to whoever needed one. He loved life, his family, friends, and especially his son and grandkids. Bud truly had a heart of gold, and he will be missed dearly, but most certainly not forgotten, and his life lessons and legacy will live on. Bud passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 69 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Hester; father, Bud Hester; and mother, Ola Mae Hester. Bud is survived by his son, Jovan Hester; daughter-in-law, Tamar Ikard; grandson, Jovan Hester; granddaughter, Alex Hester; two sisters, April Hester and Mary Hester; nephews, Cedric Hester, Authur Jackson, Deontaye Hester, and Kacy Joiner; nieces, Letrisha Hester and Nina Joiner.
