Bridget L White

March 28, 1957 — August 12, 2020

Bridget White, known to everyone as either "Bridge" or "Tangee" was born to the proud parent, Mary Louise White on March 28th, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. Bridget attended John Hay High School and later transitioned to Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio

After high school, Bridget worked at a myriad of department stores including Kmart and Giant Tiger. In addition to this, she also worked at John Glenn Health Center and also had a passion for styling hair, in which she would do some of her best work over her kitchen sink throughout the years.

For those who knew "Bridge" well, they could tell you she loved to laugh, have fun and was the life of any party. She had an abundance of friends as everyone enjoyed being around her and establishing friendships was something that came natural to "Tangee". Bridget was the cousin/sister/friend that would slip you your first drink or cigarette or get you into the club with that "Questionable ID".

Bridget loved her family and looked forward to each and every family cookout and function. She loved "All" holidays, one of her favorites being Christmas, as she looked forward to being able to contribute as well as the companionship, and another favorite was St. Patrick's Day, as "Bridge" appreciated her a good "Spirit". Bridget had four(4) children that she absolutely adored and spoke about often, as they brought happiness and meaning to her life. As proud as she was to be a mom, being a "Grandmother" was the "True Joy" of her life.

Along with being a grandmother, Bridget discovered some newfound passions in her latter years. She began working at Shaw High School as a substitute teacher, in which she worked with special needs children, that in turn helped her to become a more compassionate person. One of the most surprising endeavors that Bridget embarked on and truly embraced in her later years was her new love for traveling.
While seeming "confined" to Cleveland as a young adult, Bridget began to spread her wings traveling to Orlando, Canada, Jamaica, and a cruise to Cuba in just the past few years. She was truly enjoying her life.

On August 12th, 2020 at 1:50am, Bridget was called home. She is preceded in death by her mom, Mary Louise White; aunt, Martha Traylor; uncle, Frank Traylor; and sister, Victoria White.

Bridget leaves to cherish her memories: her four children; LaRon Jones (Loreal), Jamil Lewis(Juana), Tierra White, and Justin White; sisters, Stanwyck White and Ladae Marseille; brother, Tyrone White; grandson Leighton Jones; granddaughter, Journee Lewis; and a host of devoted relatives and friends.
