Benita Benford-Jones

Benita Benford-Jones was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 20, 1963, to Sanford James Benford Jr and Sonja Reed Benford, Benita was the second of four children. Benita was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Jones; mother, Sonja Reed Benford; father, James Benford, Jr.; and brother, Sanford James Benford III. Benita is survived by her siblings, Charlotte Benford Whiteside and Ronald Benford. Benita attended Cleveland Public Schools and Community College. She worked at Federal Bureau Center in the Immigration Dept. and Huntington Bank as a claims adjuster. Benita accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed gatherings, music, art, drawing, shopping and she loved her poodle, all her family and friends and they loved her back. Benita was a loving, caring, and giving person. Benita departed this life on Sunday, January 21, 2018. She leaves to cherish her memory her longtime boyfriend, Chicardo Townsend; sister, Charlotte Benford Whiteside (Lee, Sr.); brother, Ronald Benford (Stephanie); nieces, Latisha Benford, Artyon Higdon and Darion Higdon; nephew, Demarion Higdon; step-daughters, Kia'Anna, Aisha Scott, and Kiara Townsend; as well as a host of other family and dear friends.
