Bashir Hasan

Bashir was born December 18, 1935 to William and Estella Fite in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from McKinley High school, and joined the Navy.

After leaving the service, Bashir joined the Nation of Islam in 1958, attending Temple #18, and was a long time member of Masjid Bilal. He served as assistant secretary and volunteered for many various responsibilities. Bashir made Hajj to Mecca in 2014 . He also was an avid bowler for many years and also enjoyed roller skating during his free time.

Bashir returned to Allah on Friday August 4, 2023 leaving to mourn his two sons, William Fite Jr, and Saieed Hasan (Maria); stepson, Najiah Hasan, and step daughter, Naieeda Hasan; one brother, Roger (Mary); five grandchildren David Stuard, Osiris Stuard, Angelica Hasan, Salimah Hasan, Saieed and Bashir Hasan Jr. Proceeding him in death were his siblings: Marjorie Jerr, Willa Mae Howard, Mildred Brown, Edward Fite, Ronae Fite, Rudy Fite, Midlishia Fite known as Herman, and Kwame Eteif. Also, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
