Barbara Ann Lee was born March 28,1959, in Alpine, Alabama, along with her twin sister Betsy, to the late great, Betty Jo Lee, & Adulphus Lee Sr. Including her twin, Barbara had six sisters, and two brothers.
Barbara attended grade school in Talladega, Alabama. In 1966 with the passing of her dad, the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Her family lived in the Hough area but eventually settled in Collinwood. Barbara graduated from Collinwood H.S. in 1977. She took up Culinary arts at Tri-C to further her education. She definitely had a love for cooking. Where she took her talents to places such as Catholic Charities (Cosgrove Center), Karamu House, & the E.B.C. Learning Center.
Barbara was known for & quick to give you a nickname. Names like Mookie boy, Apple, shorty, black gal, balfree, odie hodie, buttons, Mr. Black, fatt fatts, joker, tootie, beanzy, Lynn Lynn, susie woosie, herman, nibblets, & uncle fester. That's how you knew you a soldier in Barbara's army. If not you might be a dollar licking $*#*$!!.. Because the good sometimes have to suffer with the bad..
Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memories her brothers, Adolphus Lee Jr, Michael Lee (Alpine); sisters, Veronica Lawrence, Betsy Butts (Talledega), Lori Lee (Baltimore), Shandra Jones, and Brenda Garrett (Talledega); sons, Dameo Lee, and Quentin Lee; daughters, Isis Wilson (Jamal Wilson), and Shamona Lee; grandsons, Dylan Smith, King Richard Banks, Sur De' Angelo Parham, Jacques Elkins, Quenshawn Lee, Shawn Carter Wilson, Aa'Ron Wilson, and Karter Lee; granddaughters, Tameasha Lee, Dai'reasha Lee, lil Isis, Imauni Darby, Lynda Wilson, Da' miya McIntyre, babigyrl Brooklyn Wilson, Dan'Nijah Agee and Laniah Grace; 17 great grandchildren, & two special sisters, Muriel Fox, and Linda sparks "Sparky Plugg"; and a dear special friend, Vincent Coleman.
Barbara was preceded in death by her dad, Adulphus Lee Sr; mom, Betty Jo Lee; sister, Mary Louise Lee; grandson, Sir Quentin Lee; great grandson, De'Andre Pruitt.
Barbara leaves behind a army of friends, family, co- workers all of her soldiers!
