Arnold L. Johnson

July 8, 1934 — April 9, 2020

Arnold "Leo" Johnson the youngest of six siblings, was born on July 8, 1934, to the late Gilbert Johnson and Minnie Zebbs Johnson. His sunset was on April 9, 2020, following a brief illness. He attended Glenville High School until he joined the U.S. Air Force. He met the love of his life, Barbara Jean Jackson upon his return from the service. They were married on July 23, 1955. To this union they were blessed with three sons, Curtis (Linda), Starley (Kim) Marlin and one daughter, Audrey. Barbara preceded Leo in death in 2014. Leo was a person who was always busy holding down at least two jobs. He held several positions with the City of Cleveland and retired after twenty plus years. He continued working for the Cleveland Plain Dealer where he was awarded several plaques for his outstanding driving. He subsequently retired from the Plain Dealer after many years of service. He also drove for the City of Cleveland Heights Senior Program for many years following his retirement from his previous jobs. Leo was a man of many interests. He was an avid chess player, award-winning bowler, collector of old murder mysteries and westerns. He also enjoyed a good game of pool at which he also excelled. Above all of these interest, he loved family gatherings the most. Leo leaves to mourned in his passing his three sons Curtis (Linda), Starley (Kim), Marlin and daughter Audrey, one sister Mary (James), sixteen grandchildren, and ten great-grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. Loving submitted the Johnson Family.
