Aretha Lafaye Swanigan

Aretha Swanigan "Ree" passed away at the age of 50 years old, peacefully on February 26, 2020. Aretha was born in Chicago, Illinois December 18, 1969, to Jeanette Briggins/Davis and Barnell Swanigan. She was a 1988 graduate of Lincoln West High School. She worked as a daycare worker at Circletime over the years. Aretha truly lived life to the fullest through the pleasures of enjoying and having fun with family and friends. She loved to dance and spend time with her grandchildren. Aretha is preceded in death by Jeanette Briggins/Davis( her mother) and Barnell Swanigan (her father). Aretha is survived by her two children Lafaye Swanigan (Airris),Lafeal Swanigan (Cory). Two grandchildren Arielle Pritchett and Lafeal Swanigan Jr. One sister Annette Swanigan, two nieces Kiyana Porter and Dominique Fields. Two nephews, Sean Swanigan and Kenneth porter and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
