Anthony Pemberton Steele was born on November 7, 1969, in Akron, OH. He was lovingly adopted into the Steele family as an infant. He resided with his late parents, Pemberton and Nancy Steele, along with his two sisters Karen and Sonya Steele. He attended Shaker Heights Schools where he graduated in 1988.
Anthony Steele served in the US Marine Corps where he received the National Defense Service Metal and a Riffle Expert Badge. He was Honorably discharged in September 1994.
Following his Honorable discharge, Anthony began a career with the Cleveland Public School System in the Task Force Unit for several years. He then worked for University Hospital in Customer Relations until his passing.
Anthony accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. God blessed him with a great sense of humor. Despite his chronic health challenges, he remained an inspiration to people around him. He especially had an impact on the younger generation throughout his life. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Pemberton Steele, and mother, Nancy Pearl Hampton Steele.
Anthony Pemberton Steele leaves to mourn: two sisters, Karen of Kissimmee, Florida and Sonya of Columbus, Ohio; five children of Cleveland, Ohio: Eric Steele; Deja Steele, Adeal Turnage, Amarria Houge Santre Houge; and six grandchildren, Kayden Lovett, Tur and Allison Abdul-Zahir, Myla and Zymire Toodle, and Corey Sutton, and a host of relatives and friends.
