ANTHONY LeVON BRUCE, 44, was born on January 3, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the first child born to Herman and Sylvia (deceased) Polite. In 1972, he became the adopted son of Harry and Marguerite Bruce. "Tony" attended Gracemount Elementary School and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He joined 2nd Metropolitan Baptist Church at a young age. Although he had a long battle with illnesses, Tony kept a positive attitude toward life. Tony was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor. Always polite; he enjoyed conversations with senior adults and had the determination to always complete a job he started. He enjoyed swimming, playing the lottery, collecting miniature cars and using photography as a favorite past-time hobby. After completing high school, Tony was employed at Hancock Wholesale Candy & Tobacco Company. He later went on to secure a position as a licensed, registered Security Guard. He spent many hours assisting at the Karamu House. Tony departed this life on October 25, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted parents, Harry and Marguerite Bruce, father Herman Polite, sister Cindy Sephus; better know as "baby sis" (Jason), and a host of relatives and friends.
