Annie Carol Wren was born to Will and Daisy Mauldin in Catherine, Alabama on October 19, 1937. She was the seventh of eleven children. Her parents moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1945 when she was seven years old. She was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. She married John L. Wren in 1956 at the age of 18; from this union five children were born. Annie was a dedicated and loyal wife and mother. She gave her life to Christ at a young age. She was a domestic worker for 4o years until her health prevented her in 2005. Annie was devoted to her friends and family, and known to lend a listening ear. She was the matriarch of her family, a leader and a source of strength and love. Annie departed December 9, 2014. She is preceded in death by her siblings; Naomi Fisher, Collin Mauldin, Willie Mauldin, Kasric Mauldin, Maple McMillan. She has five remaining siblings, Eloise Adams of Cleveland, Emma-Jean Frierson of Las Vegas, Mattie Mauldin of New York, Roosevelt Mauldin of Cleveland and Randolph of Citrus Springs, Florida. Also left to mourn her passing, are her three children Ron Wren (Angelique), Renee Wren, and Gwendolyn Walker (Kenneth Walker), she goes home to join her son Jerry Wren and Darlene Hunt. Annie leaves 12 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family members and friends.
