Annie A. Wallace

Annie was born in Starkville, Mississippi on March 25, 1939, and moved to Sioux Falls South Dakota in 1941. She confessed in Christ at an early age serving her Lord and Savior in the Baptist Church throughout her life.

Annie graduated from Washington High School in 1957 in Sioux Falls South Dakota. She completed her License Practical Nursing Certificate from Pierre School of Practical Nursing in Pierre, South Dakota in 1959.

In 1959, she married George Wallace Sr. in Luverne Minnesota and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio. This union produced two children, George Wallace Jr., and Yvonne Wallace.

Annie retired from VA Hospital in 2001. She worked as an LPN for 63 years. She lived and breathed her profession of nursing, working in various hospitals and nursing homes throughout Cleveland until June 2022. She touched the lives of many patients and their families. Throughout her nursing career she inspired and mentored others to be better medial professionals.

Annie's mother Maybelle and father Luther Clark, sisters Fanny Ross and Sandra Steward, and brother Jesse Clark (Jayne) preceded her in death.

Annie is survived by her children George and Yvonne Wallace, Granddaughter Ashley Wallace, Brothers James (Diane) and Douglas Clark, and nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, cousins. She had friends and co-workers whom she enjoyed sharing life with and were dear to her heart.
