Annie Pearl Moore (Turner) was born on August 22nd, 1947, in Cleveland Ohio. She was the second of four children born from the union of Kathryn and the late Lamarl Turner Sr.
Annie chose to accept Christ at an early age and attended Greater Avery AME church where she was later baptized. She was a proud product of the Cleveland Schools and graduated from East High in 1966. Afterwards, Annie entered the workforce, and she was employed at The Forum Cafeteria in Cleveland from 1966 to 1968 and then briefly at George Worthington in 1968 until 1969.
In 1969, while speaking with a friend of hers, Annie had a chance encounter with a patrolman named Tyrone Moore and asked her friend to introduce them. A strong friendship quickly developed between the two and resulted in their marriage on May 3rd, 1969. This union between Annie and Tyrone resulted in the birth of their son, Tyrone Christopher Moore, in February 1971. Shortly after the birth of their son, Annie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis that very same year. Although the realization of the diagnosis was difficult to take, Annie’s faith in the Lord allowed her to persevere as she consistently shared her positive and encouraging outlook on life. She never allowed her illness to prevent her from enjoying time with her family, maintaining and managing her household with her husband, and enjoying & appreciating life.
Annie Pearl greatly enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Among many things, she was considered to be a very competitive gamer by her immediate family, she had high interest in watching and discussing films and television, and she participated often in a variety of other family centered activities. Additionally, Annie was known for her sense of humor, her extreme generosity that was often shown to others outside of her immediate family, her good nature, and her strong faith in God.
On July 26th, 2020, Annie was called home at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrone Moore in 2011; and by her father Lamarl Turner Sr. in 2012.
Annie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Tyrone Christopher Moore ; her mother Kathryn Turner; her brother Lamarl Turner Jr. (Joyce Turner); her sister Maxine Turner; her sister Diane Spearman (James Spearman); her grandson Ryan C. Moore; her granddaughter Erin N. Moore; her nieces Tanya Turner and Charmaine Brown (Furney Brown); her nephew Lamarl Turner III; and a host of other family members and friends.
Annie was a symbol of strength and courage to the family and she will forever be loved and missed.
