Anna L. Shaw

Anna Louise Shaw was born October 20, 1956, in Slidell, Louisiana to the late Edward & Olivia Ducre. Anna was the youngest of 11 children (Edna, Mary Frances, Crystal Bell, Edward Jr., Louis, Paul Jean and Ella Mae all preceded her in death).



Anna moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she met and married Searcy Shaw, to this union two children were born, Olivia Patrice and LaTausha Marie. Anna later had two more children Iesha Louise and Maurice Gerell.



Anna loved to cook, play cards, and dance. She was known for her fried chicken and gumbo. Many would call her to cook for them. Visitors would come by and utter the words “Anna, what you cook” as they walked through the door. If there was food, you had a plate.



Anna loved her family and looked forward to her yearly trips to Arkansas and Louisiana. Even though she lived in the city, she was still a country girl and liked to go crabbing and fishing when she returned home. Anna babysat nieces and nephews through out the years. She also babysat other children outside the family. She has many adopted children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.



Anna was truly loved and will be missed by all. She leaves to cherish her memories 4 children, Olivia Patrice (Charles), LaTausha Marie, Maurice Gerell and Iesha Louise. Five grandchildren; Ta Liyah, Mykal, Taevon, Marliyah, & Richaurd. Four great grandchildren; La Kara Korey, Braedon and Peyton. Two sisters Rodena Moffett of Little Rock, Arkansas and Dollie Ducre of Slidell, Louisiana. One brother Herman Ducre (Lillie) of Slidell, Louisiana. A cousin who was more like a sister Linda Stewart of Cleveland, Ohio along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and all her card playing buddies at Willson and Morning Star Towers.
