ALICE MAE ALLEN, 84; Made her transition on Sunday February 21, 2016. Services are on Friday, February 26th; Wake 12:30 PM with Funeral at 1:00 PM at WATSON'S FUNERAL HOME, 10913 Superior Avenue, 44106.Public Viewing on Thursday February 25th from 9:00 AM UNTIL 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park, 5505 Northfield Road. Alice Mae Allen, youngest of 6 children born to the late Oscar Eugene Martin Sr. and Susie Davis Martin, was called to rest Sunday, February 21, 2016 at University Hospital. God saw the road was getting rough, the hills too hard to climb. So God called Alice gently and said to her, "Peace be thine". Alice dedicated her life to Christ at the age of 8, and was baptized by the late Rev. Claxton in Bethel Baptist Church which later became Second Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Alice was united in Holy Matrimony in 1950 to George W. Allen to this union were 3 sons. She retired from Victoreen Instruments in 1996. Alice was a charter member of the Star of Bethel M.B.C. and served many years as secretary, mistress of ceremony for the Robinson Sisters. Alice leaves to cherish her home going three sons, Robert E. Allen, George W. Allen Jr. and Darreyl Gene Allen (Porlia); six grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Evelyn L. DeScott and Isabella Render; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and two special nieces, Carol Lockett, and Susie Hyche. Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.
