Evangelist Michelle “Mittie” Harris was born August 14, 1938, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Oda B. Rollins-York and Carter Rollins.
Michelle moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1960, She was a member at New Covenant Christian Church, and she married the late James Harris in 1981.
Michelle was the eldest of 7 children: Melvin Rollins (Bessie) of Euclid, Ohio, Darryl (Loretta) Rollins (He preceded her in death), Elzora Rollins (preceded her in death), Woodrow Rollins of Cleveland Ohio, Patricia Landers (Tyrone-deceased), Marvin Rollins (Tammy).
She had an entrepreneurial spirit she always worked for herself and rarely anyone else. She owned homes, restaurants, she was a saleswoman, a foster mother, and she also worked in the healthcare field. She loved learning and educating herself she graced many of the classrooms learning new things. She loved to travel; she was a well- rounded free spirit. She had a beautiful smile and positive energy that led her to be loved by many.
Michelle was called home on May 6, 2020. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three daughters Mary Howze of Cleveland Ohio, Gloria (Lewis) Davis of South Euclid, Ohio, and Cordelia Howze of Garfield Hts. Ohio. Two sons who preceded her in death John Howze, and William Howze
(Annette), David Harris ( Deanna) of Illinois, Donnell Harris (Matena) of Alabama, Ronnell Harris of Illinois, Savannah Harris-Mehren (Erik) of Alabama, Benjamin Harris (Nicole) of Maine, 24 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. Her siblings, aunt, uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
